Call for Workshops Proposals

The OSS2007 Organizing Committee invites proposals for the Workshop Program of OSS2007, the Third International Conference on Open Source Systems, to be held June 11-14, 2007, in Limerick, Ireland. Workshops will be held on June 14th, immediately after the main OSS2007 conference.

The purpose of these workshops is to provide an informal setting for participants to discuss technical issues, exchange research ideas, and to develop community in the quickly emerging field of Open Source Software and/or Systems. These workshops may be driven by fundamental academic interests, or by more applied industrial or commercial interests. We encourage a diversity of workshops relating to Open Source, including those that:

  • bring together inter-disciplinary approaches to OSS development, and
  •
  • support the interaction of research and industry for the deployment of OSS.

The format of the workshop will be determined by the organizers. Workshops can vary in length from a half day to a full day. Having more than one co-organizer for a workshop is strongly advised. Workshop attendees must pay the OSS 2007 workshop registration fee.
